My Studio

Welcome to my home and come on into the music room.

1) A 4 piece Red Sparkle Gretsch Catalina Club Jazz kit (a Christmas gift from my wife).

2) A 5 piece Yamaha Maple Custom.

I use a Macintosh iBook G4 and Garage Band to run a metronome and play lesson recordings that I designed. Instead of practicing only with a metronome you'll practice with tracked music. You can take the tracks with you on a CD so practicing at home is fun and relevant.

The studio is equipped with a couple of microphones (a Rode NT1-A and an SM58) so as you advance we can record your drumming to the computer and use the recordings to listen to your improvement as well as write some music on Garage Band.

I have a Behringer PA system so that you can play along with your favorite songs and bands as well as our lesson tracks that I've designed on Garage Band. The PA system allows the student to feel the intensity of playing the drums with a live band.
